Road Safety Week

This Week is New Zealand Road Safety Week.
I had the task of creating and finding activities for our school to do.

This took a lot of time to prepare because I had to figure out which activities were suitable for each class.

Here is the doc I made to show the teachers which activities they're doing.

Kahoot Quiz for Everyone:

Te Kakano & Te Pihinga

Play a road safety game with cones.
Set up different scenarios with cones and boxes as vehicles, with zebra crossings, and get them to do the right things. Eg. If you want to cross the road to get to the ice-cream shop, you have to?

Te Mahuri:

Create Posters for Road Safety, with pictures (stop signs, zebra crossing etc.) and explain what Road Safety is.

Rimu:

Answer questions about it.

Video: (The Boy who didn’t look for a safe place to cross.)

Get someone in to talk to the class about road safety and why it is so important.

  1. Hi Laura, I'm Zach from St Bernadette's School. I like your traffic light work.
then poem is really cool. I think the most interesting bit was the road signs. I haven't seen some of them before. Next time don't put as many links. People won't be willing to read all of them. Keep Up the good work.
